Driving sustainability

We’re driving towards a sustainable future. We’d like you to join us.

From design and manufacture, all the way through to ownership, charging and recycling, our all-electric ID. Range is designed to protect people and the environment.

Our promise

Climate action

We are committed to complying with the Paris Climate Agreement, with the goal of becoming a company with a net carbon-neutral2 balance by 2050.

Sustainable future

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of our time. Our all-electric ID. Range embodies our vision to cut C02 emissions and create a sustainable future.

Ethical and responsible business

Integrity is one of our core values and at the heart of everything we do. It is our responsibility to improve and protect people’s lives in our supply chain and society.

Becoming net carbon-neutral2: How will we get there?

VW way to zero

Way to Zero is our commitment to complying with the Paris Climate Agreement, with the goal of becoming a company with a net carbon-neutral2 balance by 2050. It’s a journey we would like to share with everyone – our partners, suppliers, and of course, our customers. A large part of our mission is to give you options that will help you on your personal path to lower emissions. Only by doing this will we all reach our common goal.

Electrification and beyond: Our vision for the future

The finite nature of natural resources and the social and environmental consequences of mining them means the creation of a circular economy is key to becoming sustainable. As part of our initiative, we’re stepping up efforts to use recyclable materials in our vehicle projects. Going forward, the use of raw materials retrieved from vehicles at the end of their life will be increasingly considered.

Join our mission

We’re on a mission to reduce the amount of carbon the world produces. But we can’t do it alone. We need you on board. One of the ways you can help is by carbon offsetting. The way it works is to balance your emissions by investing in environmental projects. Use our Carbon Offset Tool, in partnership with iOffset, to measure your emissions and calculate your offset cost.
