More than 100 test drives at upbeat She's Electric events

Test drives and panel discussions help to bust myths about driving electric cars

Volkswagen and female-founded start-up She's ElectricOpens an external link have hosted two events aimed at normalising driving electric vehicles, and busting some of the myths about going electric.

The two events took place at Cheltenham's Ellenborough Park and Marlow's Danesfield House, with our full range of electric cars present at both venues.

The latest ID. Buzz was taken out a total of 112 times, with some drives featuring two test-drivers, meaning that 143 different people tried out ID. Family carsOpens an external link over the weekend (Saturday 12 October and Sunday 13 October).

Each person had an introduction to their chosen model from a Volkswagen team member, who answered any questions, provided reassurance, and helped with any follow-up questions after the test drive.

TV presenter Philippa Forrester and YouTube influencer Aman Sanghera, of Clearview Driving, were among the media guest invited to the events. Their social media posts from the weekend are set to be boosted by online content to help amplify the upbeat messages and experiences of those attending the events.

Myth-busting panel discussions were also held during the events, with an aim to normalise driving electric, which is in keeping with Volkswagen's Same spirit. Different energy. strategy.

The events were aimed predominantly at women. However, gates were open to everyone who wanted to learn more about electric cars and sustainable lifestyles.
