The ultimate birthday balloon for Golf

The 50th celebrations continue with a special birthday ‘hot-air’ balloon for the Golf. On September 1st at the world-famous ballooning hotspot of Cappadocia, Turkey, this Golf balloon sat between a Golf Mk 1 and a Golf 8 waiting to take off.

At dawn the ‘Sultan Series PH-370’ balloon rose into the skies over Love Valley. With guests on board, we celebrated 50 years of Golf production with special friends and thousands of tourists, who come to region every morning to see the 'bucket-list' balloon attraction.

We invited guests from around the world to take flights in the balloon over the week, plus they could enjoy test driving every generation of the Volkswagen Golf, from the Mk I through to the latest Mk 8. It’s been a lovely way to celebrate such an iconic car - Happy birthday Golf!
