App Connect (connect your smartphone)

Access your apps in your car.

How it works

Your smartphone apps are transmitted to the display of the infotainment system and can therefore be comfortably and clearly controlled within your line of vision. That makes it incredibly easy to access music, news, maps or audiobooks, for example. Volkswagen offers two interfaces for connecting smartphones, with numerous options: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto by Google. The wireless connection option for the “Discover Media”, “Discover Pro” and “Ready 2 Discover” navigation systems also makes their use particularly convenient. To avoid distraction, only certified apps can be started during the journey

Volkswagen AG allows you to use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, the country-specific availability of both technologies is the responsibility of Apple and Google.
