It’s important that drivers fully understand the difference between an ICE vehicle and an EV – and, in turn, how they stand to benefit from making the change.

For example, contextualising ranges and charging times, or illustrating the cost differences between home and public charging, will show drivers how EVs can seamlessly fit into their lifestyle – whether they’re driving for work or pleasure.

Charging at home, or on the road

EVs can be charged on your employee’s driveway using either a wallbox charger or a standard three-pin plug – though the former is safer and faster.

Home charging is generally more cost-effective than public charging, with many energy suppliers offering advantageous ‘time of use’ tariffs.

If home charging isn’t an option, you could consider workplace charging if your site can accommodate this.

There’s also the UK’s public charging network. This is comprehensive, with many public charging stations offering rapid charging – meaning an EV can be charged quickly and on-the-go.
