Inspired by iconic elements like the distinctive C-Pillar from the original Golf, our design team has reimagined timeless design features for a new era. Sporty design, versatile interior and digital features makes it highly attractive.

At the heart of Volkswagen’s new vision are three key principles: Stability, Likeability and what we like to call the Secret sauce - a special touch that makes a car instantly a Volkswagen. Together, these details have created a compact, all-electric vehicle with real character–one that feels familiar yet fresh, approachable yet exciting. A true Volkswagen for a new era.

So, what exactly makes the ID. EVERY1 feel so stable, so likeable and so uniquely Volkswagen? Let’s look at each of the design pillars in more detail below...

Efficient, flexible and likeable

No matter which angle you look at it from, the ID. EVERY1 stands strong. Compact and confident, it’s designed to feel solid and planted on the road, giving you that reassuring Volkswagen stability. A big part of that comes from its stance. The wide, flared wheel arches and the sturdy C-Pillar create a powerful presence. And, with its balanced proportions–measuring 3,880mm in length, 1,490mm in height, and a notably wide 1,860mm, it has a low, grounded feel. Add in the short overhangs, and you get a car that looks as steady as it feels. The concept car reaches a top speed of 130 km/h and is powered by a newly developed electric drive motor with 70 kW (95 PS). The range is at least 250 kilometres.

The ID. EVERY1 embraces simplicity, with a design that’s free of unnecessary fuss. Every line flows with purpose, every surface feels just right. The silhouette is both rooted in classic Volkswagen design principles and forward-facing at the same time. The straight window line, which has been a hallmark of Volkswagen’s design since the Golf Mk1, gives the car a strong, structured look. Below, the sculpted door surfaces and bold side sills add a dynamic edge. There are no passing trends here, the ID. EVERY1 is designed to be effortlessly stylish and endlessly relevant, making it not just a car you’ll love today but one that will hold its value for years to come.

Characteristic design with charisma and identity

Within the ID. EVERY1, the design language, characterised by its clarity and aesthetic appeal, also establishes a fresh look for the interior of the ID. EVERY1. The four doors provide access to a new realm of compact cars that is anything but small. The materials exemplify this perfectly: the surfaces are pleasing to the touch and finished in warm, friendly colours. Together with the clear design and lounge-like seating, this fosters a unique feel-good atmosphere. Most of the fabrics are made from recycled materials, such as PET bottles. The introduction of a new, terrazzo-like mottled surface lends the ID. EVERY1 a light and contemporary appearance. The intentionally simple forms are effectively accentuated by high-contrast colours.

Smart, versatile interior and affordable

Sometimes it’s the subtle details that define Volkswagen’s unique design language, or what we like to call the Secret sauce. One key ingredient in this formula is the ID. EVERY1’s flying roof concept. By subtly lowering the roof’s centre without compromising interior headroom, our designers have created a bold, instantly recognisable silhouette. Things don’t stop there; our Secret sauce works its magic on three other distinct design elements:

A third brake light that’s integrated into the central recess of the roof at the rear, ensuring optional visibility.
The roof end strip that extends outwards, creating a floating effect that enhances both aesthetics and aerodynamics. This feature generates controlled air turbulence, ultimately improving efficiency and range.
The 19-inch alloy wheels of the ID. EVERY1 have the potential to become a design icon. Their high-gloss black finish contrasted by five bold, white-accented spokes, makes a striking statement on the road.
